The 2015 Snowbird Rally departs Hampton, Virginia on Friday, October 23, and ends in St. Augustine, Florida, on Tuesday, December 1. Ably guided by cruising guide authors Mark & Diana Doyle and mechanical systems expert Tom Hale, veterans of the 2014 event, the 20-boat flotilla will transit this iconic waterway safely and in style.

The schedule has been tailored to allow plenty of opportunity for sightseeing and rest at some of the most beautiful stops along the ICW while keeping long transits to a minimum. We’ll pass through the pristine Dismal Swamp Canal and welcoming Elizabeth City to visit charming historic waterfront towns such as Oriental, Beaufort, and Southport in North Carolina.

From there we’ll make a succession of stops at cozy marinas and pretty anchorages, enjoying parties and potluck dinners along the way. We’ll take in the delights of Charleston and Beaufort in South Carolina, and Savannah, Jekyll Island and St. Mary’s in Georgia. At St. Mary’s we’ll celebrate the holiday with other southbounders at its famed Cruisers’ Thanksgiving Potluck before heading to Cumberland Island National Seashore to see the wild ponies.

When we arrive in St Augustine, we’ll join the renowned Nights of Lights, and then wind up the Rally with a farewell party and a day-long seminar on your next cruising options in the Florida Keys, Bahamas, Cuba, and the Caribbean. You’ll come away from the Snowbird Rally with new skills, new friends, and the memory of a grand adventure shared.
